Misterio group exhibition. Nit de l´Art 2023

As the annual Nit de l’Art in Palma de Mallorca beckons art enthusiasts, the city’s cultural landscape is set to be infused with an aura of mystery and intrigue. Among the galleries participating in this year’s event, Gallery Can Boni enters the event with its ‘Misterio‘ exhibition. This carefully curated showcase promises to be a journey into the enigmatic realms of contemporary figurative art, shedding light on secrets and venturing into the unknown.

Embracing the Veil of ‘Misterio’

The Spanish word for ‘mystery,’ ‘Misterio‘ transcends the boundaries of art exhibitions. Its significance lies not merely in the display of art, but in the unraveling of narratives and the exploration of uncharted territories. Crafted to coincide with the Nit de l’Art, this event serves as a platform for both local and international artists to present their works.

Gallery Can Boni, known for its dedication to contemporary figurative art, brings together a lineup of artists who have been instrumental in shaping its artistic trajectory, alongside three newcomers: Rocío Mazuecos and Álex Jul, promising emerging artists from Mallorca, as well as Swedish multimedia artist Niels Jensen.

Among the names already known to the gallery’s clientele, the visitors can expect to see the works of Miguel Amate, visual artist and creator of the artistic movement ‘Art Brutal’, Bego Riba, Carmen Cañadas, Emilio Cardona, Kate Kalashnikov, Miquel Martorell Bonet, Miquela Vidal, Paula D. Cernadas, Pere Bennàssar Obrador, Sandra Renzi, and Toni Caimari.

The thematic essence of ‘Misterio‘ exhibition lies in its divergence from traditional art shows. This is an artistic exploration of mysticism, enigma, and secrets. The exhibition promises a diverse array of artistic expressions, ranging from paintings and sculptures to video art and installations. Visitors will embark on a voyage into parallel universes, each artwork an enigmatic narrative waiting to be deciphered.

Monumental artworks depicting the Garden of Eden, the genesis of the world, and the gates of hell will transfix visitors, inviting contemplation on the mysteries of existence itself.

The enigmatic urban landscapes on display will draw viewers into the concealed narratives of city life, offering glimpses of untold stories that lurk beneath the surface.

Ancient Greek mythology comes alive on canvas, transporting viewers through time to a world of age-old tales, rekindling the timeless allure of ancient narratives. And cryptic compositions will challenge the viewer’s perception, creating a sense of wonder and intrigue.
